Wallingford, CT – May 6, 2004 – VBrick Systems, Inc. (www.VBrick.com), the premier provider of digital video solutions, today announced that its EtherneTV Media Distribution System has been awarded the National Association of Broadcasters’ 2004 Editors’ Choice Award in the Content Delivery category at the NAB2004 conference and exposition. The Editors Choice award is an extension of the Awards for Innovation in Media program, which VBrick Systems also won at NAB2004.
“We’d like to extend a note of thanks to all of the attendees and publications that participated in the voting and helped to ensure the continued success of the AIM program,” said NAB President and CEO Edward O. Fritts. “The extensive expertise these editors have in the electronic media industries, lends a unique and important voice in recognizing the technologies that are poised to make the greatest impact on the future of broadcasting.”
The winners of the NAB Editors’ Choice awards were selected by a judging panel comprised of editors from video and broadcasting media. The members of the editorial panel submitted their votes on the top products in each of the three categories after evaluating the 15 products selected by NAB2004 attendees as well as other new technologies on display at the exhibition.
The AIM program provides a voice for NAB audiences, allowing them to publicly recognize pioneering products that boost the efficiency, increase user flexibility and creativity, and lower cost. During the first round of the competition, attendees cast their votes for the top technological innovations in the electronic media industries, including television, radio, film, audio, video, streaming media, satellite, and telecommunications. The top five products in each award category received recognition during the NAB Technology Luncheon at NAB2004.
“We are grateful for the recognition that members of the media and our peers in the broadcasting industry have shown by bestowing this highest award upon the EtherneTV Media Distribution System,” said Fred Geyer, CEO of VBrick Systems. “Such recognition by the broadcasting industry is a direct validation of EtherneTV’s value to the market. It reinforces our company’s determination to improve the efficiency and reduce the cost of professional quality communications within enterprises of all sizes and across networks of varying sophistication.”
The EtherneTV Media Distribution System is the world’s first complete system for the delivery of live and stored television over IP networks to both desktops and TVs.
