VBrick Systems Enhances EtherneTV to meet Explosive Demand for Simplified Video Solution
Scalable, open standards-based video system features user authentication, MAC support

AMSTERDAM – September 8, 2004 (IBC 2004) – Responding to the ever-increasing demand from education, government and enterprise customers, VBrick Systems, Inc. (www.VBrick.com), the premier provider of digital video solutions, today introduced EtherneTV 2.0, a major enhancement to the company’s EtherneTV Media Distribution System, the world’s first complete system for the delivery of live and stored television to both desktops and TVs. A demonstration of EtherneTV 2.0 can be seen at stand # 2.139 at International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) 2004 conference, September 10-14 in Amsterdam.

 

Based on open MPEG standards and comprised of integrated VBrick video components controlled by an improved intuitive user interface, EtherneTV 2.0 makes it easier to manage and distribute live or recorded video to and from any classroom, boardroom or office.

Enhancements to EtherneTV 2.0 Include:

·       EtherneTV-MCS Media Control Server 2.0 The MCS server has been updated with the following functionalities

o      Access Control – Administrators can set access control to particular Live or Stored content for Users or User Groups.  The Access Control system works for PCs, Mac, and Set Top Boxes.  The MCS server also can authentication to Microsoft’s Active Directory and other LDAP directory servers such as Novell
