United States Distance Learning Association Reappoints VBrick Systems’ Michael Baker to Board of Directors

WALLINGFORD, Conn. – March 1, 2006 – VBrick Systems, Inc. (www.VBrick.com), an industry leader in affordable video over IP network solutions, today announced that the United States Distance Learning Association (USDLA), a non-profit organization that promotes the development and application of distance learning for education and training, has reappointed VBrick Systems, Inc. Vice President of Business Development Michael Baker to the USDLA Board of Directors. 

 

Mr. Baker’s second consecutive appointment to the USDLA Board of Directors reflects his continued commitment to advocating the best practices and technologies that enhance distance learning and increase organizational efficiencies.  Additionally, Mr. Baker has also served as USDLA president during his 13 years shaping and managing USDLA programs.  He currently holds the title chairman emeritus.

In addition to his role as VBrick’s vice president of business development and his USDLA director-level responsibilities, Mr. Baker actively participates in multiple associations committed to harnessing technology to improve communications in the public and private sectors.  Specifically, Mr. Baker is chairman of the board of the International Internet Learning Association, a member of the board of Industry Advisors for the American Telemedicine Association, a member of the Congressional Internet Caucus, the Association for Educational Communications and Technology, the Instructional Technology Council, the Association of Colleges and University Telecommunications Administrators, the National Association of State Technical Directors, and the International Television Association.
