EtherneTV Leads New Era of Enterprise Digital Video Communications Accessibility; Delivers Rapid and Effective Collaboration: Present, Educate, Learn, and Monitor

WALLINGFORD, Conn. – September 24, 2007 – VBrick Systems, Inc., the world leader in digital video appliances and solutions, today announced significant enhancements to its EtherneTV digital video solution, which enables organizations to create, broadcast, record, and manage live and on demand video.  VBrick’s EtherneTV 4.1 combines easy-to-use “plug and stream” webcasting solutions with business-class reliability, performance, and security – providing authorized users with seamless access to robust visual communications tools.

By removing cost and complexity barriers to digital video adoption, EtherneTV users set up and stream interactive multimedia presentations quickly – internally or to global audiences.  EtherneTV incorporates VBPresenter, a VBrick software plug-in that enables users to create and broadcast presentations that blend real-time audio/video with live, synchronized PowerPoint slides.  Additionally, guided web browsing enables users to launch web pages that incorporate embedded video and flash animation into their presentations.  Polling and Q&A capabilities provide engaging real-time communications between presenters and audiences.

New EtherneTV management applications include the new Emergency Broadcast capabilities that stream live or pre-recorded alerts companywide or to specific sites or groups.  Multi-video screen viewing enables stock brokers and other users to monitor multiple television station streams for breaking news.  Additionally, VBrick’s new Windows Media IPR (set-top box) expands digital signage and remote video management capabilities, while also enabling users to extend their Windows Media ecosystems.

“The overwhelming popularity of video content on YouTube, CNN, and other web sites reflects strong preferences for how we gather and retain information,” said Rich Mavrogeanes, founder and chief technology officer, VBrick Systems, Inc.  “VBrick is merging the self-streaming esthetic that has taken hold across the Internet with a business-class framework to truly change how employees communicate internally and globally.  By providing powerful and straightforward video applications to all authorized users, VBrick is fundamentally changing how organizations innovate and communicate.”

EtherneTV empowers users to stream live presentations and breaking news to employee desktops globally, create dynamic webcasts that highlight new services, accelerate new product introductions via real-time tele-presence collaboration between sites, and expand classroom education with on-demand access to DVD-quality digital v
