CapRock Partners With VBrick Systems to Deliver Powerful Remote Monitoring and Video Communications Solutions
VBrick-Powered Digital Video Solutions Enable Real-Time Communications in Extreme Environments; Empower Users to Reduce Costs, Accelerate Troubleshooting Via Remote Diagnosis

WALLINGFORD, Conn. – September 26, 2007 – VBrick Systems, Inc., the worldwide leader in reliable video networking solutions, and CapRock Communications, a world leader in secure satellite communications, today announced a partnership to provide dynamic video communications services via satellite.  The combined solution delivers 24/7 video connectivity between distant operations and central commands for dependable remote monitoring and issue resolution for industries including oil & gas, commercial shipping/maritime, engineering & construction, and mining.

Oil & gas exploration and other remote industrial operations are expensive, highly specialized initiatives that can lose millions of dollars in daily revenue due to operation failures.  Engineers often travel onsite to direct complex operations – a process that is costly, limits company access to senior employees, and does not provide the rapid response required to address critical remote issues.

CapRock’s new Remote Video Streaming service provides reliable remote monitoring capabilities that its customers located across the globe use to collaborate, identify, and resolve issues quickly.  Authorized end users access the streaming video using a standard Web browser, thereby eliminating the requirement to install new hardware or software on PCs or networks.  The VBrick-powered solution provides users with the ability to monitor diverse projects including underwater pipeline inspection, offshore rig maintenance, exploration, and drilling.

“We are focused on enabling organizations to accelerate business and optimize operations,” said Randal Neck, vice president of global marketing, CapRock Communications.  “Integrating VBrick’s market-leading video solutions with CapRock’s worldwide network allows our customers to gain real-time visibility into global operations anywhere.”

“In high-stakes industries such as energy and engineering, the slightest hesitation in responding to exploration or production issues can have a profound impact on the bottom line,” said Craig Myers, vice president of worldwide sales, VBrick Systems, Inc.  “VBrick provides the reliability and ease of use for customers anywhere to monitor remote operations and collaborate with individuals or teams in real time.  Our products continue to prove their mettle in extreme environments including the depths of the Black Sea for research missions and are the trusted video solution for leaders in the energy field and other industries where communications in harsh locations is essential.”

VBrick’s flexible digital video solutions provide around-the-clock visibility into essential remote operations.  Using VBrick, CapRock’s new Remote Video Streaming service provides users anywhere with the ability to monitor operations including sub-sea structures and remote facilities.  The compact VBrick network video appliances can stream underwater video from Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs).  By streaming the video using low bandwidth, VBrick enables users to view clear, high quality images – without straining satellite network resources.
