WALLINGFORD, Conn. – August 20, 2008 - VBrick Systems, Inc., the world leader in digital video appliances and solutions, today announced the launch of VBoss (VBrick Online Streaming Service) Broadcast, the only live, professional video broadcasting service available as a cost-effective managed service offering. As an added feature, VBoss Broadcast also integrates seamlessly with Microsoft® Silverlight™ to support the best possible user experience.
VBoss Broadcast makes broadcasting simple by providing everything to go instantly “on the air”. Using a managed hosting model, VBoss includes the extremely reliable VBrick appliance for the onsite location, online streaming service, unique automatic remote configuration and management, multi-platform video viewing pages, and simple cut and paste code that enables broadcasters to insert their live video into an existing Web site.
VBoss Broadcast facilitates video distribution through a VBrick Windows Media Appliance that is automatically configured to encode and distribute live video from a camcorder, VCR, video mixer or other source. Live video events are also captured within the VBrick appliance and VBoss can make them available for on-demand viewing right after any live event via a personalized VBoss portal, an existing Web site, or via email links sent directly to prospective viewers.
“Streaming video over the public Internet has made it possible for even the smallest organization to achieve broadcasting reach that was once the domain of large organizations,” said Vince Graziani, VBrick CEO. “It used to cost hundreds of thousands of dollars to build a television broadcasting service with local distribution capabilities. With VBoss Broadcast, it is now possible to setup a worldwide broadcast capable Internet TV station for a few thousands of dollars.”
