VBrick Supports New Microsoft Silverlight 3
WALLINGFORD, Conn. – July 10, 2009 - VBrick Systems, Inc., the leader
in Enterprise IP-video systems, today announced that the newest features
and capabilities of Microsoft Silverlight 3 will be incorporated into three products:
VBrick’s new Rich Media Studio, VBrick Online Streaming Service (VBoss),
and the company’s Enterprise Media Management Portal.
VBrick’s Rich Media Studio currently supports Microsoft Silverlight-based
players for live and on-demand distribution of rich media presentations that
capture video, audio, and xGA/DVI inputs. The new capabilities of Silverlight 3
will allow for an enhanced video experience with HDTV-quality video and H.264
video format.
Developed with Silverlight as its primary media player, VBrick Online Streaming
Service (VBoss) supports the management, delivery and monetization of live
and on-demand video over the Internet. VBoss utilizes Microsoft Internet
Information Services 7.0 (IIS7) Smooth Streaming which delivers compelling,
uninterrupted live video streams that instantly adjust video quality to match
changing network conditions as well as supporting HDTV-quality video delivery.
VBrick’s Enterprise Media Management Portal will also support both IIS7 Smooth
Streaming and Silverlight in 2010. The Silverlight player will be built into VBrick’s
viewing Portal to deliver video in Windows Media and H.264 formats. IIS7 Smooth
Streaming will provide scalable distribution of HDTV-quality video to all Enterprise
locations, even those with bandwidth constraints.
