Wallingford, Conn. – Jan. 12, 2010 – VBrick Systems, the recognized leader in enterprise IP video solutions, today announced that communications industry veteran Doug Howard has joined the company as Chief Executive Officer.  Howard will leverage his nearly two decades of networking experience to increase VBrick’s market share, drive technology innovation and optimize business development.

The company also announced that John Shaw has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer.  Shaw, who joined VBrick in 2008, will significantly expand his role in driving successes across VBrick’s marketing, engineering and operations functions.  Shaw has played a key role in helping VBrick reach major milestones in 2009, a year in which the company added over 400 new customers to its roster while unveiling industry-first technologies for capturing, managing and distributing live and on-demand video and rich media.

Howard replaces Vince Graziani, who has served as VBrick’s Chief Executive Officer since 2007.  Graziani will stay actively engaged with VBrick by continuing to serve on the company’s Board of Directors. 

Howard joins VBrick from USA.NET, the wholly owned subsidiary of Perimeter E-Security, the established leader of enterprise-class security and compliance technologies for companies of all sizes.  He brings to VBrick deep experience in business development, M&A, operations, engineering, marketing & sales and executive leadership of global companies.

While at USA.NET, Howard served as President and oversaw all aspects of the business including sales, marketing, business strategy and service delivery.  Under his leadership USA.NET experienced 25 percent yearly revenue growth, with a 50 percent increase in earnings before income, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA).  Howard’s impressive business track record and industry thought leader status have earned him accolades from top analyst firms including Frost & Sullivan and The Radicati Group. 

Howard joins VBrick at a time when CEOs in enterprise, government and education must balance IP video initiatives with the need to secure communications and other critical applications.  Moreover, his deep experience working with top service providers such as AT&T, Sprint and BT, Fortune 1000 Enterprise companies and government will help bolster VBrick’s awareness among this class of target customers.
