Release Notes v7.10
Rev enables organizations to unleash the power of video to educate, inform and inspire employees anywhere and on any device. Its ease of use increases engagement and adoption by delivering the same consumer-grade experience employees expect from their use of video and social media sites. Customers can stream high quality live and on-demand video across their own networks using Rev’s embedded eCDN capabilities, which ensure that video uses the least possible bandwidth. This document contains Release Notes for the latest version of Rev.

Public Questions During a Webcast
Event Admins and Moderators may now reply to questions submitted during a Webcast and publish the reply for all attendees to view so that good questions are available to all users. This also provides a means for attendees to view public questions so that the same question is not asked multiple times.

Replace a Slide in a Recorded Webcast
You may now replace a slide in a recorded Webcast before distributing it so that errors may be corrected or information updated as needed.

Custom Help Links
You may specify additional help links for Rev and customize the default help link for Rev as well if you want to include your own branded help topics for your organization. You may link to an email address or a URL as needed.

Tropo SMS Integration
Rev now integrates with Tropo so that you may easily send links to your Rev videos to any media device in the world.

System Login Messages Added
System Admins in Rev may now create a system login message that may be used to create messages that user accounts see when they log in to Rev so that messages such as Terms of Service may be created and updated when needed.

Event Details Section in Webcast Event
An Event Details section is now displayed during a Webcast so attendees may view information about the Webcast at all times.

Event Admins may now enable the presentation they use in a Webcast Event available for download.

System Maintenance Messages
Rev On-Prem customers may now set up system maintenance messages. System messages will easily allow messages about planned downtime or upgrades to be set, for example, so that every user will be aware when it will occurs and will not schedule Webcasts or large video uploads during that time.

Additional User Lockout Settings in System Settings > Security
Two new settings have been added to Rev’s security features in the Admin > System Settings > Security section under User Lockout Settings. They are:
Lockout period, which specifies how long a user will be locked out once maximum lockout attempts has been reached.
Invalid attempt period, which specifies a time interval to lock out a user if the account password is entered incorrectly a certain number of times within a specified interval.

Subtitle Language Addition
Norwegian has been added as a language option for SRT file uploads.
Email Notification Additions
Email notifications have been put in place for the following processes:
Video Processing Complete - Once your video(s) have finished uploading and transcoding, you will now receive an email with a link to the video. This means you do not have to keep manually checking your videos to see if they have finished processing.
Comments on My Videos - If another user comments on your video, you will now receive an email that details the user, date and time of the comment and the comment itself. There is also a link to the video and comment provided. This includes nested comments.
DME Domain Names
DME v3.10 and greater devices are capable of registering fully qualified domain names in order to play HTTPS content to the Rev HTML5 video player. Therefore, DME streaming URLs may or may not contain an IP address hostname. See DME documentation for set up details.
Rev API Updates
VBrick has released v7.10 updates to Rev’s Rest API.

Video View Duration of 0.00 (AV-12771)
Corrected issue where, if a browser window was closed without stopping a playing video, the video analytics CSV report would report a view duration of that video at 0.00 no matter where the duration was when the browser was closed.
Files not Deleted in DMEs Once Sent to Rev when Using Edge Ingest or TCS Integration (AV-11765)
Fixed issue where videos were not being deleted correctly from DMEs after being uploaded into Rev when using Edge Ingest or TCS integrations.
Upload Failures when Using Edge Ingest (AV-12098)
Fixed error that occasionally occurred with uploading content when using JSON files.
Inaccurate Attendee Graph (AV-12484)
Webcasts were reporting inaccurate results on attendee graph as to the actual amount of users connected. This has been corrected.
Create Webcast Event Form not Loading when Language is French (AV-12738)
Fixed issue where the Webcast creation form was not loading when the user’s language was French.
Embed Videos not Playing on Safari when Access set to All Users or Private (AV-12753)
Corrected issue where embedded videos were not playing in Safari browsers when set to All Users or Private access.
Embed Videos not Playing on IE 9/10 when Access set to All Users or Private (AV-12626)
Corrected issue where embedded videos were not playing in IE 9/10 browsers when set to All Users or Private access.
