The Source Devices and LDAP Connectors Module
Use the Source Devices and LDAP Connectors module to add, configure, and manage encoders, LDAP connectors, custom devices, and Akamai devices you want connected to your system. Keep in mind that you will often need to have devices added and configured before using them elsewhere in Rev, such as with a Presentation Profile which will use devices that are added in this module.
The Source Devices and LDAP Connectors module displays:
Column
Description
Name
Name or Hostname of the device that has been added.
Type
The type of device that has been added.
Network Address
The MAC address of the device.
Status
The status of the device; Online, Offline, or Inactive. If inactive, your device will not be able to be accessed by Rev.
Actions
The actions you may perform on the device.
Edit — Edit the device.
View Log — View a log of recent actions that have occurred on the device. This is good for troubleshooting if your device is not performing as expected.
Delete — When a device is deleted, the content stored on the device is not deleted. However, you may not access it because the association to the device is removed.
