Schedule an Automated Webcast Event
Rev makes it possible to schedule an event that begins broadcasting at the appointed start time on its own, automatically, without the need for the Event Admin to start it. In this case, you need to set your event to automated.
When a Webcast event is automated:
Event and Account Admins are always able to see, edit, and join automated events through the calendar and carousel just as they would a manually scheduled event.
If the event has not started, an admin may always switch the event back to manual (non-automated) status for control by disabling the automated flag.
 
*To create a an automated event:
1. Navigate to User > Events > Add Event.
2. Schedule the event as you normally would. See: Schedule a Webcast Event
3. Set Automated Webcast to Enabled.
4. The event will begin automatically at the designated Start Time and will use the admin’s time zone.
5. The event will also be broadcast, recorded, and ended automatically.
6. Once the event begins, the Event Admin may join the event and control it (presentations, polls, comments, etc.) if desired.
