Bulk Editing Video Categories
Use the button to append, remove, or replace one or more categories to several videos at once. If you are adding a category, it must already exist in the system. Keep in mind that your System Admin must have categories enabled in Rev globally before you will see the ability to bulk edit them appear.
To bulk edit the categories of several videos:
1. Navigate to > > .
2. Click the button.
3. Select the videos you want to edit by clicking the checkbox to the left of each. You may also select all videos in the list by selecting the top checkbox.
4. Click the gear to access the bulk edit functions.
5. In the dropdown, select which action you want to perform and then choose the categories to perform the action on before clicking . Each is explained below.
6. The action will add whichever categories you choose to the selected videos. The categories the videos currently contain will not be modified.
7. The action is the opposite of and will delete the categories you choose from the selected videos. No other categories will be modified.
8. will replace all current categories associated with selected videos with the categories chosen. For example, Orientation and Government will be the new categories on all videos. All other categories associated with the videos will be removed.
| Tip: If you are unsure on the results of a bulk edit, test it on one video first before applying it to multiple videos. |
