Record a Webcast Event
To record a Webcast event, the event must be broadcasting and an Account Admin must configure Rev to record Webcast events by setting a primary DME player.
When you record a Webcast event both the video input will be recorded as well as any attached PowerPoint presentation (if applicable). If you stop broadcasting or end the event, the recording will also stop. You may view and edit your recorded events under the Media menu > My Videos tab.

Note: If recording is started/stopped multiple times during an event, each start/stop combination is treated as a separate recorded event. Videos are transcoded to the presets specified in transcoding settings for recording

*To record an event:
1. Navigate to User > Events > Event Name > Start Webcast button > Record button.
2. The Record button will turn red and the text will display “Recording”.
3. If the event is paused or not yet broadcasting, the Record button may be clicked and the Webcast will be “set to record” so that it begins recording immediately once broadcasting.
An error message will be displayed and you should contact your Account Admin if:
DMEs are down and Rev is unable to connect and record your event.
DMEs have reached their storage capacity and have run out of storage space.
DMEs have reached their maximum simultaneous recordings allowed.
